The Beolchi's ossuary

It was commissioned by trader Bartolomeo Beolchi around 1685 as a funeral chapel for his family, it is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture.
It has two facades which are decorated with marble elements and two windows (a square one and an oval one) with iron gratings.
Inside there are frescos depicting scenes based on momento mori celebrating the works of mercy towards the souls in Purgatory to which the monument is dedicated.
